THE IDEA

A good meal is worth remembering.

PlateDiary Web is an independent web reconstruction inspired by Android PlateDiary 2.1.0, created to organize food memories in a personal, searchable journal.

WHAT I BUILT

Keep the story around the plate.

Rebuilt the experience for the web with Next.js, TypeScript, and Supabase for accounts, PostgreSQL records, and private photo storage. Photos are resized in the browser before upload, while full-text search, collections, and calendar counts help revisit older saves. Version checks handle conflicting edits, and import and export tools preserve diary records and photos across migrations.

  • Private accounts and photo access through expiring URLs.
  • Food entries with photos, places, people, ratings, prices, notes, and tags.
  • Favorites, collections, calendar views, and diary statistics.
  • Full-text search, filters, and cursor-based pagination.
  • Undo for deleted entries and conflict detection for edits.
  • Retry-aware backup import, NDJSON export with photos, and light or dark appearance.
